Lyrics and melody in the final section have been extracted from 'Jesus din søte forening å smake', Allendorf 1712/Hygrom 1740. English translation of lyrics sung: "your sweet union to taste/is longed for and needed with heart and with mind/tear me from all that holds me back/draw me to you, my beginning, inside/show me with clarity/my powerlessness and struggle/show me the abyss of corruption within me/that its nature could turn to the death/the spirit alone must live for you.

With cardboard boxes over their heads, and two holes punched out for their arms, they began with wet clay, and without any other idea than to see what came by handling it. What they arrived at was not a sculpture, but a way to begin. The forms were destroyed and remodelled – the possibility to reform them was always there. It was a way to get to the thing.
